Priming for Spray Painting
Our Primers are designed to adhere to surfaces and to form a binding layer that is better prepared to receive paint. They are engineered to have improved filling and binding properties with the material underneath.
This is sometimes achieved through controlling the primer's physical properties such as porosity. A primer is often used when painting many kinds of porous materials and is mandatory if the material is not water resistant and will be exposed to the elements. Primers can also be used before painting light colours over existing dark colours.
Our priming techniques see that primers are tinted to closely match the colour of the finishing paint. If the finishing paint is a dark colour, tinting the primer can vastly improve the uniformity across the painted surface and assist in creating the best possible finish.
